Applications are ALMOST OPEN for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Scholarships and bursaries are one way in which we strengthen educational pathways and support the transition to employment and entrepreneurship. UICF creates specific initiatives to address the educational needs of our youth as they arise.
Eligibility
Indigenous youth from Atlantic Canada under 30 years old who are attending Trade School, College, or University (both part-time and full-time), are invited to apply.
Educational Categories
- Part-time College Students – $400/month from September 2025 – June 2026
- Part-time University Students – $500/month from September 2025 – April 2026
- Full-time Trades/College Students – $600/month from September 2025 – June 2026
- Full-time University Students – $800/month from September 2025 – April 2026
Details
- There are limited spots available per category.
- Successful applicants will receive an extra $100, four (4) times throughout the academic year to help with groceries. (October, December, February, April)
Important Notice for Applicants: Please ensure you have the following documents ready to upload before you begin your application:
- Proof of Indigenous Community Affiliation: Acceptable documents include a status card, letter from your Indigenous community, or other official documentation that confirms your affiliation with an Indigenous community.

Proof of Fall and Winter Enrolment: Documents must include your Full name, the Educational Institution’s logo in the letter head and states whether you are full time or part time.
